Timber & Veneer

All timbers and veneers are natural products and will have diverse colours and patterns throughout. This is a unique characteristic, not a flaw.

Solid timber and veneer will fade when exposed to sunlight. For the first 6-8 weeks we recommend keeping surfaces clear of objects during daylight hours to avoid permanent marks. Always use trivets and coasters as hot or damp objects can damage the wood and veneer. Also remove liquid spills immediately to avoid damage. For cleaning use a damp cloth and wipe with a dry cloth. Wiping with the grain can prevent swirl marks. Do not use anything abrasive or silicone/oil-based polish or cleaners. The more you protect and care for your wooden furniture the nicer it will look.

Outdoor Furniture

Outdoor furniture is designed for outdoor use, but for extended periods of exposure to harsh weather we recommend covering or storing the furniture out of the weather elements.

Upholstery Textiles

All fabric will fade as NZ sunlight conditions are very harsh. Curtains and blinds help to extend the life and colour of upholstery textiles. Do not use laundry or dish detergents or scrub with a stiff brush. We recommend vacuuming upholstered furniture to uplift dust from foam fill. Ask one of the C&C team for specific care instructions on the individual fabric selected, we are more than happy to help!

We also offer an additional fabric care surface that will add another layer of protection to the textile.
